    was usenet the thing that the guy from live free or die hard the geeky kid hacked to talk on the cellphone when all the other service providers where down he said he could talk to other hackers through it or smthn like that lol

    @smokenfly514 Know that usenet is not free. You’ll need:
    - a news server account (like giganews.com – “bronche” is fine)
    - a usenet client (like Unison, for mac that is)
    - the need and abillity to think about something to look for like something you wish to download in a certain category

    …if it isn’t talked about (at least a little) then “capable newbies” – (people with workable IQs) won’t learn about it. These days you mostly have to have a newsreader subscription to view newsgroups as many Internet Service Providers have dropped the free newsgroup subscription as part of their services

Family Tree

Genealogical data can be represented in several formats, for example as a pedigree or ancestor chart.
